Programmable Key Fob

Each system is uniquely programmed and will not operate other HoodXpress® units or remote operating devices

Quick-release manual operation override

Quickly disconnects (lift-rod at arm) to allow manual opening in the event of battery loss or an accident.

“Locking” key fob feature

Key fob must be “unlocked” to begin operation. Avoids unwanted (accidental) activation.

“Stop / Start” key fob feature

During operation pressing any button on the fob will cancel hood lift cycle.

Low maintenance design

Motorized unit is sealed for life-time lubrication. Annual greasing of lift-rod connecting ball joints recommended.

Debris protection of gear cover

Plastic debris shield protects gears from road debris entering the drive system

Single-side operation

Does not require synchronization of side lifting or transverse connecting rod, allowing clearance for maintenance and operation while maintaining load spread across the hood.

Quick and easy wiring connections

Two wire connection to alternator eliminates complicated wiring installation. Key fob eliminates the need to hard-wire on-off buttons on dash. Unit specific fuse separates HoodXpress system from existing electrical system.
